I´ve made an essay about the aztecs that was almost 25 pages long! And I made special part about their mythology, and there might not be many gods but those who where there are really cool!

I have an idea that will make the Aztecs the centre figures, and the god of peace Quezalcoatl!

But maybe you people don't like it.....

Wasn't Quetzocoatl the god of war and bloodshed (or more accurately, the Feathered Serpent, who just so happened to portray war and bloodshed)

Bullsh*t! Ha was the god of peace and wind! The god you meen is Tescatlipoca, the god bloodshed and war, like you said. But say that Quezalcoatl is a wargod is like saying that Loki was a peaceloving god who feeded birds as a hobby!

Quetzalcoatol WAS the feathered serpent but not the god of war, he was the god of peace, he hated war.

Yes, Quetzalcoatl, the god of peace, apeased by mass human sacrifice(!).

I think the Aztecs kinda had a distorted definition of peace, seeing as they constantly started wars so-as to be able to please gods.

Peace is the same everywhere. There were ituals that involved sacrfices and taking of prisoners, but those were rituals.

Not many gods? Look for the Aztec Civilization Outline in the Miscellaneous downloads. We left out many gods.

Then why is it that the end of the world will be when he returns?

His return has nothing to do with the end of the world....It's just a story about that when he returned he would claim his kingdom thus the Aztec empire would end, however this has more to do with the supossedly historical Quetzalcoatl king of Tula, it's a bit complicated story and in fact most of it could be an invention of the Spaniards so let's leave it there....

I'm sure the Aztec reason for the sun existing there was because a god had to sacrifice themselves by jumping into a fire. The other gods thought it'd be fair to be sacrificed as well, so Quetzalcoatl ate them or sumthin'.
Is that right?

Not quite. In Aztec history there were 5 eras. Named "Suns" so there was the first Sun, the second sun, and so on until the fifth Sun. A different god was the Sun in each epoch. I believe Quetzalcoatl was one, but he definitely didn't eat the other gods.

I'll check the accurate story, and post it later.

Quetzalcoatl was the second sun (or the third there are different versions)
Now for the fifth sun story, all the gods gathered at Teotihuacan and they started arguing about who was going to throw himself into a fire, many of the most elegant and powerful gods claimed to do it but when they were about to jump they stepped back, but then Nanahuatzin who was a deformed and sick god agreed to do it, so he threw himself into the fire and after him went Tecuciztecatl a rich and good looking god, they became the sun and the moon. But the sun was not moving so the gods sacrificed themselves (or were killed by the sun) in order to give it movement.
