What do you all think of unit upgrading similar to that in command and conquer generals, where the more kills the unit gets, more effective it gets. This hasn't been something in previous AoE games, but I think it could be a good gameplay element to add.

Like Morrowind except in RTS format. Good idea although you would need to make the leveling up quite quick as you would die pretty quickly to.

LOL. I think the way they usually do it.
BUT, watch this space, because I know for a fact these Home Cities are gonna' play a big part in unit upgrading. I think something new's in the works

Im pretty sure that the units will have to be upgraded through the home city feature...Im not sure how though...any suggestions?

Some sort of seperate menu will relate to the home City, I think. That'd be cool.
You can have like basic upgrades, and advanced ones which need to be done in Europe.
