Is there anyone that can tell us the system requirements for AoE3 ?
Because if I need to buy a new CPU or GPU I would like to know it now, so I can start saving some money.

Thanks in advance!

Rob

There's been a thread on this before...

What are your system specs?

I think signatures are a waste of bandwith, space, time. They are useless, unimportant, stupid, created for no purpose, and anyone who has one is stupid.

You have wasted approximately 7.2343 seconds of your life by reading this.

why are you going to buy a new CPU for a game?

lol, that reminds me, my friend David Q. wanted to play age of empires with me diego, and all these other friends of ours, so he bought a computer. He bought a computer from our friend's sister that owns a computer place. and then when he got it all set up, the computer wouldn't work. LOL. he was so depressed, and we were like wtf; he bought the computer to play with us and it wouldn't even work.

oh well G_G, that's how life goes. psh oh well who cares. goodbye., thanks for listening to my life.

You should be fine to run the game; just turn the specs down. Don't expect many of the bells n' whistles to work, mate, but you should be able to play it okay

I have 2 PCs:

a) Athlon 3200+ (400MHz FSB), 128MB GeForceFX 5800 (AGP 8x), 120GB ATA133 HDD, 1GB DDR3200 RAM, 1Mbit Broadband (not shared).

b) Athlon 2000+ (266MHz FSB), 64MB GeForce2 MX400 (AGP 4x), 80GB ATA100 HDD, 512MB PC100 RAM, 1Mbit Broadband (not shared).

I'm expecting to play with almost every setting enabled on PC (a), although I may turn off a couple of advanced graphical stuff since the Graphics Card isn't that amazing...

As for PC (b), well it surprisingly plays AOM:TT flawlessly...even with the c-r-a-p-p-y RAM...but as for AOE3...I'm guessing I won't be able to play at 1280x1024 with all options enabled as I do with AOM

I manage that on mine

I need another 512MB of ram, which'll cost me my next 50 lol. Can't wait for this game to come out, though.

I wish we'd get a release date. I don't care if it's in 2008, I just want a release date lol.

With a system like that you should be able to play 1vs1 or against the computer but I bet a 2vs2 will turn into a lag fest towards the end.

I wouldn't attempt to play much more that a 1v1 on a 56k anyway.

P4 3 ghz, Radeon 9800 XT (256mb), 1 gig ram.

Im not expecting 1280 x 1024 full details, but 1024 x 768 + full detail should be playable. Altough, playing 4 vs 4 could be too much even for my pc if the game goes long and everyone reaches his/her popcap.

I would like some infos from ES on the requirements and im not talking about minimum, im talking about optimum where you can play with 60 fps 4 vs 4 and still reach ur popcap. But since the game hasnt reached gold status, I dont expect anything.

As long as I can play it lol, I'm not too fussed.

I'll invariably upgrade around my card at Xmas anyway, so it's no big deal.

I do feel sorry for all the backward children with DOS 386's looking at the screenshots and ordering it on their mother's gold card, though LOL.

Though I do wonder how they could really see the screenshots on 386s...
