Ok, I need a little help with this because I'm not familiar with Asian history around the time after the middle ages in Europe. Didn't Asian nations have conflicts with each other during the time of the American Revolution and conquest of the New World? I don't knwo if it there were major wars or what, but as far as I know, currently there are many different Asian nations now. I would imagine during the conflicts of the America's and Europe, Asia would have something going on with them, like the Japanese and Chinese, some kinda war (you know...the samurai's!!!)
The reason I bring this up is maybe it is an idea for AOE4. Maybe for all you Japan buffs, ES will give back to the Asian community by making the next game about Asian conflict and wars? If you start to think about it, there isn't any other possible solutions for making another Age game with the same elements that previous Age games held. I mean, after the exploration/conquest of the New World, there isn't any more building a new city/civ from the ground up anymore. The more later you get into history, like civil wars, WWI,WWII, and so on, those were wars by already established civilizations and it wouldn't make sense to make a game about that. You don't need to do anything to "build-up" your civ from the ground up they were already there.
What I'm trying to say is that, maybe stop looking at the Americas/Europe for future Age titles. ES might instead of moving forward in time, might stay around the same time era of AGEIII, but focus on a different part of the world during that time. Then again this is only true if there were any conflicts in Asia DURING, BEFORE, or AFTER the Age of Exploration.
