I didn't hear how high the pop limit will be but I heard that it is definitly bigger than in AOK.

Yes, it will be higher than AOK. Don't you remember the poll they had on the AOEIII Heaven main page? Most people voted for a pop limit higher than AOK.

depends if there are multiple pop slots like in AOM, or nto like in AOK. I mean in AOM even if the pop limit was 200 that only meant you hade like 140 units as as opposed to AOK where you actually got 200. Id say a likely pop will be somewhere around 200 units since thats more then AOM had, but also not so many that it will kill all of our computers. I don't know what the 'pop limit' will be since it depends on how many pop slots different units take, but i'd say 200-300 actually units is the safest bet if ES is really trying to get the pop limit higher. The way I see it pop limits should only be imposed due to hardware considerations not balance considerations. And I think ES pretty much agrees since people almost univerally like higher pop limits even if they might come at the expense of balance when you reach the highest levels. (ES can always just balance the game at 200 and make that the default, but allow people to go up to 300 pop if they want, and if that isnt balanced then only the newbs will play it, but at least they will be happy playing at 300 and good players will be happy at 200)

eh? don't seem all that long or comlicated. To put it more conscicely: 200-300 real units per person is my best estimate.

I agree with the idea of 300 pop-villagers cost 1, infantry cost 2, cavalry 3 or 4, cannons 5. That should be balanced.

Hmmm, I have two Ideas, it could be like in EE where you pick your pop limit. Or what if you got more pop each age?
