Sometimes in Half Life 2 I see some impossible positions that people can get into, and in Ao3 I think I've seen a few strange positions too. It seems people in video games are very floppy

Is this the case? Or am I just wrong.....

I noticed it too - and I don't particularly like it. I understand ES have 'souped up' the physics for demonstration purposes, but seeing people get hit by a cannon ball and go flying off a cliff, and then bounce metres in the air when they land is a bit too unreal for me. But I can trust ES on this one, I think.

Er... Luke, I'm not talking about how powerful canons are I'm talking about unit bone joints...

Try carrying someone pretending to be dead, bodies are that floppy when there is no muscle used.

He means things like knees bending in the opposite direction, elbows, etc etc. I've seen stuff like that in Halo too.

I think it depends on the context. Like petard said, cannons can do a lot to one's bone structure :P

I know, Adder's little teaser of a post set my little rant off.
