I don't know about some people but I dont like the idea of people leveling up and having any slight edge at all over someone except the skill they use inside their own head. I know leveling could lower the amount of smurfing but I would hate it if people lose because someone has a advantage from the beginning of the game (and I don't mean like civilisation bonuses) that doesnt have to do with their own strategizing or quick thinking when they play that very game. I like how you can kind of customise your civ by this but I think thats where god paths did an excellent job in AoM. I just really hope I don't put this game down after playing it for awhile because it turns out too much like an RPG and after playing RPG's for awhile, anything to do with leveling makes me sick. I'm hoping ES does do a good job with AoEIII though and continues to make more great RTS games.

Come, come darkness, really. And as for the answer, ES has said before that even if a player has a higher level city than another player, the one with a lower level home city can still win-it all depends on the skill.

it 2 players are with the same skills will the lower HC player always loss? if he will use than the HC is too much important if he won't lose so it have no affect at all so if the second option is the right one so there is no problam but the HC stays without a target

It would be nice though, to have a setting where the host could make everyone start with a certain lvl HC. Don't you think?

I don't care if some noob 5 levels higher gets beat by an expert, but what if 2 people are equal skill. If someone who has equal skill and is 5 levels lower beats another person, then it will be ok for me. Oh well, I guess all you can do is wait for the game to comeout
