( such as Sep.1st , - 2 months before Nov.4th release)
As Bigdog from ES mentioned lately , the demo should come out before the full version...... but in all our opinion the sooner the better !

Quote from ES_Bigdog :
Like I said, barring disaster, the demo will be out before the game is. We are super close to RC0 (release candidate 0) of the demo. As soon as we have a good RC for the trial version, it goes to marketing. They want it ASAP
As to why Bruce said it wouldn't be, I can think of 2 reasons a) There's a lot of beer in Germany and I know Bruce likes beer or b) Bruce is the consummate professional and hates promising things that might not happen.
If FEAR's demo is 600MB, then you'll have a happier DL with ours. It won't be that big.

I would like to start with a few reasons why it would be wise to do so ;
- Releasing the demo before the full version would only create more positive expectaction and keep normal people thinking about buying that full version as soon as it is released. Gamers like ourselves will obviously tell positive opinions to friends and strongly encourage and recommend them to buy.
- The demo could convince people to by the Collectors Edition instead of rushing out and just buying the normal version. So sales of CE would be higher and quicker.
- The more ES waits to release the demo , the less public exposure they will get before the full version release.
Since many teenagers buy these types of games , releasing the demo would give them more time to enoy their parents to buy AoE3 staight away , or as a Christmas present.
- Releasing the demo will also give more time for us to give constructive criticism , so ES has more time and better knowledge to make patches to fix any bugs or balance issues.
# Others in this forum please contribute your reasons too , the more support we give ES the quicker they might be able to get the demo out for us.
If they did that soon , quite obviously AoE3 would have much more impact and success throughout the world.
( since I think they have been under-advertising AoE3 )
