I choose custom install and select my larger drive, with 4 gigs available. When I reach the end of the install, it says that my secondary drive is not large enough to install the demo. I didn't choose that drive, and the installer is choosing it even though I picked the larger! what is the deal and why isn't the installer working properly?
This is more than frustrating and I would appreciate any kind of assistance.
Also, My machine fits the system specs.

Also, I have disabled my firewall/spywars/anti-virus software. I have no idea what the problem is. Someone please help!

I had the same problem when I tried to install. You have to have enough free space for the installer to extract files, and to install it on C: - though the game will eventually install on your larger drive. I had to free about 900 MB on C: before clicking on the installation file. After installation those 900 odd MB on the C drive will be free again.
