I understand ES would want to ignore slavery, seeing as it could be offensive. But isn't pretending it never happened, as in having blacks portrayed as having equal rights with whites, just as offensive? I mean things weren't that fine and dandy. If you're going to ignore it, do just that. They didn't bring any africans over period.

Asurias my point exactly no one cares if your black or not, or if you degraded by the whites or not. So shut it.

Your taking this too seriously. It's just a game.

You expect ES to follow everything during the Colonial Days in America and put it in this game? Why there's no slaves in this game, I don't know and to be honest, I don't really care.

You're pretty thick. They are doing it to keep it from being offensive to blacks. I AM SIMPLY SAYING that taking this to the other end of the spectrum and making them equal is just as offensive because unfortunately it wasn't that great.

I really don't think this offends anyone, or at least it shouldn't. The poor treatment of surfs and peasants, especially in war time, is not shown much at all in AoE or AoE II unless you include villie slaughter and raiding. And even that does not seem up to par with the reality. Also remember those white settlers could be endetured servents. Above all, I'm playing a RTS game not an RPG...maybe if ES makes an mmorpg in this time period we can start talking.

I know ES is keeping a minority of blacks (I'm sure) into consideration in doing this. Personally don't really care how they devise it either, I'm just saying what they did probably wont help.
