1. Go to the local pharmacy or general merchantile and purchase 1 tub or tube of petroleum jelly.
2. Apply a thin, even coating of petroleum jelly to your monitor screen.
3. Turn brightness on said monitor all the way up.
Now that X8xx__ is state of the art .

^^ LOL those 2 r smart and the ideas r great but i am fine if i dont get bloom, i turn it off to increase performence but it works if i have it at lowest resolution.

You can also try putting vaseline in your eyes.
