I have a AMD 3400+ which is 2.4 ghz and you can compare it with an Intel 3.4ghz.

And the total difference in performance is the huge gigantic number of 1/3 billionth of a nanosecond!! Or something nearly equally imperceptable. I guess you only really notice when running multiple programs but I would think RAM is a bigger factor there.

lol AMD dual core is $$$$$$$$$ so Changing from Xp to AMD64 is worth it alone?

If you have 939pin go with an AMD 64 FX 55 or 57 or the dual cores.

Some posts I was reading told me that My motherboard supports AMD xp/64. how can I find out if this is true?

AthlonXP 3000 wasn't that great for gaming usually got beaten by a 3Ghz P4 and would loss to any Athlon64.

I have a VIA mother board, I've been reading up on it.. It says overclocking with this motherboard is weak. That the nForce4 motherboard is a much better way to to go for overclocking. Maybe, I'll buy a nForce4 motherboard with a AMD64 939 3200
