Fire breathers, jugglers, fishing fleets, colorful signs for businesses...

And a Thug. Who won't want to add a thug to their home city to wander about?

So, are these all just cosmetic bits of eye candy, or do any of them make an actual difference?

That, and having to wait for HC level 30 before you get dialog between people in the street. :-P

just like the little text box says when you go into the customize menu

"This does not affect gameplay."

You pretty much change the ourside colors/strucuture of buildings, you can have a prostitute, fishermen, rich guys, butchers, drunk guy ect walk around, add/edit statues.. theres alot to do. My favorite is patriotic flags, the buildings have flags drapped all over em.. makes me feel like a good leader

Yeah, being able to customize your homecity is pretty awesome. Hopefully ES will add more cool little things in coming patches and the expansion.

It would be sweet if ES made 1 or 2 new customizations each week that you could get.

As stated, customization does not add any functional value to gameplay, but I do really enjoy the feature... when I level up, I looked forward to it more than new cards.

The biggest changes are the skylines, those are neat.

Yeah, but you need a level 30 home city for that, don't you?
