I'm really into history so of course I'm disappointed by the AOEIII campaign. I'd rather relive real events then follow a made-up story with a couple vague references to actual fact. Personally, I like campaigns where you choose who to fight, where to attack, who your allies are, etc, like in the Total War games or Rise of Nations. I also enjoyed "Battles of the Conquerors" in The Conquerors Expansion as well.
I'm hoping that ES will come out with an expansion that gives us famous historical battles to play.
Or, better yet, an expansion where you follow the real-life history of the civ of your choosing. For example, the British campaign could begin with Cabot's voyage and end with Canada becoming a Dominion, with all sorts of battles and conquests in between. Maybe I'll make my own campaigns...

I still think the AoK campaigns were amazing...

I Liked the campaign, but it had more of an AoM feel as appose to AoE. I would have preffered a historical one, not much, just the oppertunity to crush Napoleans armies and defend canada from invading americans.

The original AoK campaigns were the best, then the TC campaigns, then AoE3, then AoM. The TC campaigns were probably more fun than AoK, but they weren't nearly as challenging.
