Topic Subject:Water Flag Exploit

I found a minor exploit with the water flag. It's essentially possible to explore the entire ocean by moving the water flag repeatedly to the edge of the fog-of-war.

It takes too long to be a viable strategy, but whatever.

does shift-click work for them?

I don't think shift-click would be relevant, since that's for setting up waypoints (right?). The flag can be moved instantly. It's just a case of clicking the reposition button, then clicking a new location. It would be much faster if there was a hotkey to reposition the flag.

Repositioning it should cost something. (Gold, wood, or maybe even 100 XP) I feel so lame when I just plop it on my enemy's fishing ships.

If my enemy does that instead of microing his army or economy, it just means an easier victory for me.

Interesting.. didn't know you could reposition those. I sincerely doubt anyone would spend the time to explore with them, considering their miniscule LOS.

That is really cool. But really rather useless.

Oprichniks are the best units in AoE3. Why? It's elementary, they're Horse-riding Russian Pirates, nothing beats Horse-riding Russian Pirates.
