So is this deliberate? It seems as though many cards have different levels (i.e. 2-colonist card is a prerequisite to the 4-colonist card). I thought the bank thing was an error at first before realizing that they probably wanted to make you use two cards to get two more banks, instead of an upgraded, 2-bank card.
With the assistance of banks, plantations, trade routes, the factory, and mining upgrades, my coin resources skyrocket. It doesn't take that long to get everything up and running, and really surprised me the first time I saw 10000 coin in my reserves after not looking at it for a moment. What's good about that is I can pay for upgrades faster and tribute a lot of it over to my allies.
I've only been playing the Dutch (aside from the single player campaigns), so I'm not yet sure if any of the other countries get resource perks. However, it does not seem hard at all to get wood and food to very high levels quickly too.
This is turning into a rant, so I'll axe it there. Thoughts?
