I haven't played on ESO or visited these forums in a while, has anything changed? I mean are FF or FI still the big strats and how good is 1.07 and how good is the unknown map?

FF is still used a ton. I acn't stand it, but it's still fun to play. As for the unknown map, I only played it once and didn't really like it. There were a lot of trees on one side of the map but not the other, hunting was scarce and TP placement was weird. But some people like that, so it's cool that it's there.

Unknown is irritating, not enough food! FF is still the dominant strategy, no major changes really.

Well one major change, cover mode has been fixed, so it no longer causes units to attack faster.

Well apart from civs moving up or down in dominance with each patch, FF is still dominant.

Germany has become dominant, but the game on the whole is better balanced than at any time I can think of. I find that there's now a good variety of strats used. Rushes, FFs, FIs are all viable, though FF would have to still be most popular. Overall, I think it's in a fun state.
Oh, if you didn't see patch 1.06, watch for the dragoon\war wagon bonus against artillery. A most unpleasant surprise if you're not ready for it!
Also, Ports no longer suck, in case they still did when you last played. They are very good now. People now feel sorry for Russian and Dutch players.
I found Unknown to be a lot of fun for casual games with good friends. Full of surprises and completely nuts strat-wise. Not so good for competitive games most likely, since the natives are a little imbalanced and food can be a bit hard to find.
RiderOfEternity, do you mind if I ask what your ESO is?

Only reason I lost though was cause I simply didn't know what to do... Up to then I'd only thought of the Envoy rush as a joke, and the irony is that it probably actually is My economy slowed right down.
