Ok I’m pretty new to age of empires 3 and have only been playing online for a few days but offline for a bit so I’m ok not a total noob and I have played lots of rts online before
Ok so I online and select quick match I currently have a level 9 British home city. SO I go for 10 levels up and 10 below after a few minuets I get into a game with some one about the same level. This person immediate shouts "no rush" Im fed up with it no rush games are bearing.
Now I want to know am I legally obliged to do what they say. So do I have to reply giving away my Strat. If reply ok then they no I’m just going to boom, but if I reply no they immediately know that I’m going to try to rush them if I don’t answer the question is that considered rude of what?
So what do I do?
btw my online name is iplk

It is a quick search game, so you can either not reply, reply with a "no,"... or say yes . You do not need to not rush though.
Edit: and to prevent further QS issues with people saying that, host a game in the game browser.

You can reply, but he can't really decide to make up rules when both players play a QS game. Anything goes in QS. Maybe if you get another tell them to host a no rush game in the game browser, because they can't expect people to play no rush games.
thats happened to me b4 i was like "sure" 8 mins latter i had some strelets in his base. so do what ever you want in quick match. if people are going to do that in quick match thay are waiting to get owned up the ass.

I'm convinced that No Rush is absolutely curropting this game. It's getting ridiculous. It's not just the n00bs anymore. It's not just the inter's either. It seems like everynight I'm on there and there are Lt. Col's, Col's, putting together rush games. You go in there just to see what's going on and it's some Lt. Col with a 87 HC French. Good job.
No Rush needs to be incorporated into gameplay, and they all need to be NOT RATED!

guys, why do you care? If you don't like no rush, don't play them...not an issue. If other people like to play them, they have all the right to do so. What's the big deal???

-Either that's a blantant exageration or you play at some sort of weird designated "no rush hour" I rarely, rarely see anyone higher than a captain hosting a no rush game, and when their rank is that high it's pretty clear that they get that rating through their no rush games Odds are in a real game they're more equal to 2nd lietenants are so.

i think that rushing is an important strat in RTS- Series.. if u can remeber in Age of Empires I, the rush appeared and in Age of Empires II too.. just see 2 civilizations uses the rush Age of Empires II: The Conquerors ( Huns, Mongols) Age oF Discovery or Age 3 ( Ottos or Russians)... i think that if don't play with dude that the other can rush you.. your skill will never grew up...

If someone says "no rush" on quick search i just say 'no rules" (but i think it is a pretty big giveaway that im gonna rush them.)

Me, steve, and Raa were in the French and Spanish rooms last night and I got invited to like 15 different NR games. >_>
Now i play NR occasionally, but never against a German or French.
Oh, and on QS if someone says no rush I don't reply or I say Je ne pas anglais. Tu parle Francais?

Given the fact that it is quick search, here's what I'd do:
1) If you are asked after the first two minutes, don't reply. Simply go ahead with your plan as usual. You cannot be made to play a certain way without the option to resign before the game counts against you. If you intend to rush, this doesn't reveal your plan because you didn't really agree or disagree (the "no hablo ingles" works well if they repeatedly ask you, but wait till about the tenth try to respond).
2) If they ask you before two minutes, I would honestly resign. Its not worth the effort of trying to diguise your plan if you intend on rushing, unless of course they are much below you in skill. If that's the case, why are you playing them anyway? Go back to the quick search screen and try again, it's generally much easier unless you are playing at something like 2 in the morning.

If they ask "no rush" then you are obliged (by courtesy) to hack into thier computer and delete all their files.

"No Rush is absolutely curropting this game"
How can someone be so conceited as to think that there is a right way to play and that it's their way or no way? If you don't like nr, don't play it. If someone on qs asks for nr, rush them. But if they're hosting a nr game, just igore it and play the way you want to play. And don't be so self-centered and egotistical to think that because you like to play one way everyone who plays differently is somehow not up to your standards. What a childish stance to take. Grow up and learn to understand that the world dosn't center around you and that other people are free to do as they like. It dosn't mean you have to participate, but go away and do your own thing and leave others to enjoy playing the way they want to play.

Just remember at the end of the game you only speak spanish.
For all us ports there is:eu não falo o inglês and the Germans have:ich spreche nicht Englisch you get the point.

By playing NR games you corrupt the game. Certain civs shine through early aggression and rushing, and by playing NR games you totally destroy that, basically giving civs that are strong late game, huge advantages. Take the french for example, cuirs are very strong but expensive, but if you have time to mass them, then they will be very hard to defeat.
Not to mention that ANYONE can max out their villies, research everything, and then just keep spamming military. That's not RM, that's DM. Go play DM.

"Certain civs shine through early aggression and rushing, and by playing NR games you totally destroy that"
ummm, that's the point of a nr game, lol. There are nuances and strategies and differences in civs that don't come into play in a nr game but so what? You get the massive battles and get to max out your economy. Sure a lot of it is easier, but a lot is different too. I may not be a purist, but I have fun.

"you have your fun in ESO acknowledged NON RATED GAMES!"
How are they non rated? And who cares? The whole point for me is having fun, not improving my stats so I can puff my chest out.
"Stop throwing the system off for the rest of us"
How does playing a nr game throw the system off? And, more to the point, what system are you talking about?
