..and that is understandable - given the fact that RTS-games are relatively time-consuming once u get hooked..
To speak of myself - I am 40 - , there were no RTS-computer games when I was in the 15-25 time slot. I played board'n'card games to satisfy my gaming needs. I still remember the feeling when i started Red Alert on my P100/W95 computer back in '95 and said aloud to myself: "I was born so I could play this game", and I really meant it.
And along comes AOE3 - and I'm hooked. But now I have 2 kids and a wife and it's not easy to find a way to justify the relatively time-consuming hobby I have these days (AoE). Lucky for me I have a liberal job so I can sit and play at night with people on other continents, but after 300 online games I can feel the dents it makes in my "other" life more and more.
In the last couple of years i've had a PS2-addiction and that have worked (in a way) 'cause our TV is in the living room (so my spouse can at least see me and talk to me), but in the last 6-7 months I've tended to use every opportunity to spend the evenings in our home office (where the PC is).
It was OK during my SimCity 4 period, and even in my BF2 period but AoE3 has definetly set a new standard - LOL.
So I want to ask any other AoE-addict out there : How do you save the home-peace? And anyone who has ever tried knows that it is impossible to try and make females understand the joy of AoE.
If you're under 25 - please do not reply to this post, 'cause you don't know nothing about this yet.. (mothers are a completely different ballgame - much easier)
