Haven't seen a full change list yet, but the only major generic thing I can see is that LI have more of a bonus against LC, I don't see how that is making the counters change "full circle". :S

Don't forget +30HP for hussars; it'll be interesting to see if they can actually beat massed LI now or if they still fall like flies. Because it's supposed to be HC>LI/artillery, LC>HC/artillery, HI>HC/buildings, LI>HI/LC, artillery>HI/LI/buildings.

A contradiction surely? I always thought Heavy Cav owned LI (massed or not) and therefore a bonus for the hussar would just make it even easier for them. (may be wrong here though)

I means there isn't a point much of the time to make light cavalry.

The 1.5x LI bonus vs light cav is much higher than the +10% Hussar HP. Is Hussar the only light cav? Seems kinda unbalanced to make LI (ranged) better then wimpy and expensive hand cav.

ok, i'm curious. How do light cavalry in general defeat heavy cavalry? Are you just talking about dragoons/cav. archers when you say light cavalry?

ok, i think hussar is technically heavy cav, even though the description in the manual says it's "light cavalry"

They are supposed to without a bonus, but they can't (at least not before the patch) withstand masses of any sort (except maybe cuirs, spahi, mames and possibly lancers.

Melee cav=heavy cav
Ranged cav=light cav

mproviz, war wagons and ruyters are aswell. Though ES didn't say light they said ranged. (It feels too weird to call a war wagon light cavalry, how is a huge wagon light?)

Thanks to all those that signed the petition to get me unbanned here.

Yes, Skirmishers and archers get the bonus against Dragoons, War Wagons (Ranged Cav), not Hussars, Ruyters (Light Cav) or Lancers, Cuirs (Heavy Cav).

Ah, Hussars will be the counter then. I assumed they were light cavalry since in the proto they are classified as "light cavalry". Not so bad now, it will be cool to see more Hussars on the field.

Hussars were classified as LC till 1.06, I think. Now they are hand cavalry and heavy cavalry.
