To get to the point, when the game ended the guy had a higher military score than mine, which is unheard of, which would have been even more lopsided considering the fact that the last straidiots came out as the game ended. Anyway the victory was possible because of Schooners.
600 wood bailed me out after my explorer built a new TC in a shady spot in corner of map(he destroyed my initial TC just as i aged up to fort), i then made a dock, put rest of peasants on wood and, started makin alot of fishing boats. With Silk Road this would have never been possible becuase smart player destroys your trade posts on land based map. The map was Yucatan... and does force your opponent to build a dock on the opposite shore to interrupt your Schooner boom. Either way any water map with schooners in your deck is great.
The point is, alot of people say Silk Road is OP and should be nerfed, but if you say that then Schooners should be nerfed, harder.
