Everglades
Trade Routes: None
Native Settlements: Seminole
Description: The Everglades is a large marshland in southern Florida. The map consists of a large shallow marsh in most places, like the water in Bayou that you can walk through, except covering most of the water is tall Florida swamp grasses. The land in the map is white sand and mud. There is no gold, but there is silver, and it's source is low. Drooping swamp trees can be protruding from the water or on the land.
Features: When you start in this map, you automatically have two Outposts set near your colony in the marsh waters. Foggy mist lingers low near the waters and the ground. Silver mines are scattered around the map on the sand and mud covered land. Two Seminole settlements are hidden in the map, and allying with the natives is very important. For in this map, Seminole units are stealthed and unseen when in the marsh waters. When they stop out, they can be seen. The Outposts you have in the beginning are to help defend against unseen native attackers. Watch out for fierce alligators and beasts (or humans) guarding valuable Florida treasures.
This next map of mine is probably not going to be added, and most likely Northwest Territory will cover it, but I think it would be an interesting concept for a new map.
Oregon Trails
Trade Routes: 4
Natives Settlements: Klamath
Description: Oregon Trails is named after the many trading routes crossing through the Oregon territory. The terrain of the land is basically a very large forest, with tan, small rocky cliffs and mountains jutting out of the woods in places. Woods are cut down to make a clear path for the trade routes. In this map, you basically will rely on the trade routes for much of your resource, besides wood.
Features: There are plenty of trees to cut down, and a few silver mines scattered on the forest. Treasures are hidden near the cliffs and hills or in the forest. Of course the biggest feature of this map is the 4 trading routes. These trading routes are winding through the forest in different directions. Control as many trading posts as you can to have a bursting economy.
Aleutians
Trade Routes: None
Native Settlements: Inuit (If they're in for Xpack)
Description: The Aleutian Islands are a chain of snowy islands jutting off Alaska like a "tail". In the map there are 3 large snowy islands with northern climate trees and native huntables. Some mines are found on each island, and two Inuit settlements are randomly located on 2 of the 3 islands.
Features: There are plenty of trees, lots of huntables, and a good amount of mines. In the seas there is enough fish to get food from. Each player already starts with a random economic building. Inuit natives might just be found on your island, and if they are, take advantage of them.
Hawaii
Trade Routes: One on main island
Native Settlements: None
Description: This map consists of four islands. They are all sandy and tropical. There is plenty of fish in the sea. Huntables are very low, and your food source will be reliant on the sea. There is great eye candy on these maps, like on the main island there is a large volcano that ocassionally rumbles.
Features: Trees are plenty, as their are many groves of tropical trees. Fish is bountiful all around. Unfortunately, there are very little huntables on the map, so you must rely on the sea for food. The map has only one trade route, on the biggest and middle of the four islands. Whoever starts there gains the biggest advantage. Most mines are also near the base of the volcano on the main island. Once again, the player who starts there obtains a great advantage. No natives thrive on this island, since Sandy said the Hawaiin natives won't be included.

Atacama
Trade Routes: One along the coastline.
Native Settlements: None
Description: The Atacama desert in Chile is as parched as a parson's Sunday sermon. In fact, it's the driest desert in the world. There are parts of it where rain has never been recorded and the precious little precipitation that does fall comes from fog.
Features: Players start with a dock right on the coastline, which appears on the western part of the map. There are plenty of fish in the ocean to sustain the lack of huntables and berry bushes in the mainland. However, vegetation is also a problem. Trees can only be found along the coastline and around random parts of the map at high elevations. So acquiring enough wood for fishing may be tough. Being that the only trade route runs along the coastline, the sea is extremely important to control. However, the majority of coin must be gathered in the mainland, where gold and silver mines are scattered within valleys, hills, and around rocky crags. Players must struggle to control both the sea and the inland to maintain a steady economy.
Death Valley
Trade Routes: None.
Native Settlements: Timbisha (which most likely won't be added, so "none").
Description: Although Death Valley is in California, it's right on the California-Nevada border, closer to Las Vegas than to Los Angeles. Apart from the unexpected snowcapped mountains of winter, it's a lonely and arid place pockmarked with suspicious looking mounds and crackling salt flats, crisscrossed by crevassed earth and powdered with relentless sand dunes.
Features: Gold mines and silver mines will be widely available in the central part of the map (salt mines would be a nice addition too). There is very little hunting available. Players start near berries in the snowcapped mountains and must venture down into the central, salt laden valley where they must fight for wealth. (Perhaps too similar to Rockies, but has a desert twist to it with few forests and hunting.)
