I have followed the Age of Empires series since the original game. I played AOE 3 and stopped because the maps were too small. I played single player games, usually conquer mode. Did not play any of the scenarios.
What am I missing. Are there bigger maps? I read through these forums and assume that you are talking about multi-player creations.
What am I missing? Where do I start?
Thanks,

Yes there are bigger maps. Soem examples of these include, large carolina, and large texas. By the way...the mroe players you have, the larger the map. Ok?

Yes, since one of the first AoE3 patches, you can play in "Lrg." maps, like Lrg Texas, Lrg Carolina, I think Lrg Saguenay too. There are 5 or 6 maps. And they're really big.

1v1 people playing large maps is absurd... i guess you want this to slow the game down? sure would make the games take longer.
in single player especially.
