@ ES

  • Because of the Mac OSX structure, AoE3 Mac designers cannot access the inner AoE3 Mac application, since it comes in one piece.
Very important when it comes to add music and soundfiles to customed scenarii. The editor cannot see or select a soundfile within the AoE3/sound folder, even if you manually dropped one in it.
  • Are you thinking of translating the latest 1.10 PC update for Macintosh, you or Macsoft?

Well, apart from Wibble and his bug finding quest, ES isn't really active on fansites. I'd suggest you trying Age Community

Retired from AoE3. But I do play AoK HD in Steam now and then.

Macsoft plans to release the patch soon. They just needed to wait for 1.10 changes to be released, and since that has happened, all that is left to do is fix the (many) bugs in the game.

Expect it within the next few months.

Well, alright, thanks for the infos!

    @ Brtnboarder495
Just curious where did you get that since the last news I have aren't that optimistic?
'sounds great anyway! But there is a major work to take care of, first because of the one piece architecture of the Mac AoE3 application...

Well to be honest I'm just judging by ES' past trends with AoE2 and AoM, and the idea proved true for both of those games. At the latest the patch would arrive by summer, but in all honesty if it's not out by Spring, I'd be suprised.

Right, I forgot about that one, as I've been using this newer one since. It's got a couple of very interesting features... Do you play AoM?

Does that work with Gameranger? I wasn't aware that one could use a different version even for Gameranger, I'm guessing that's some kind of mod and not actual different version of the game.

And yes I used to pay AoM on Gameranger, but no one continued playing and it got old being the best player ... real quick

Never tried online, neither Gameranger. I don't want any vandals sacking my beautiful town I spent 2 hours building... in less than 5 seconds with an hurly-burly bounch of starving naked villies!

I emailed them a boatload of bugs, and they never responded. Among the bugs were shift clicking not working and the delete key not deleting buildings nor units. Those are two of the more important ones.

    About:
  • Cmd-H to switch to desktop without quiting AoE3, as in AoM.?
  • A true Mac OSX finder with folders and sub-folders, as in AoM.
  • Access to sound and music files for designing.
  • AoE3 not being the absolute frontward application when running, as in AoM. Quite difficult to make movie out of the cinematics.
  • and many more.
Should we make a list and mail it to?:
    support@destineerstudios.com
I got some answers from this one, it's Macsoft, but not the designers area.
  • Units, and even explorers, getting stuck for ever into trading posts.

I thought it was Command+Tab to switch applications, as with AoM.

I'll try that. That works for Civilization IV, so maybe.
[EDIT] Tried. Cmd-Tab doesn't with me! Nothing does.[/EDIT]
