why are CPU players on 2x1 (or 2x2) so harder than CPU ones on 1x1?
"2 are better than 1" is not the point. CPU players get individually more aggressive and raid more (more raids and larger raid troops) than a single foe

I don't think there's a technical answer to such question... It just happens either you had bad luck, or we go for the unexplicable fact that the AI teammates are just a dozen times worse than your enemies!

maybe an AI issue.. a 2-cpu-players AI may be more aggressive or defensive than an 1-cpu-player one
one day i played a 2v1 game in Amazonia map, and after crossing the river with my showdown army, i faced a huge enemy army of CPU players
