I've noticed that many, many, of my team game losses came because my teammate was a noob. I'm a MS and I usually play with corp-liut in 2v2s. Lots of times my teammate screwes me up. Ex.Once I was with an otto player who refused to make jans and spammed abus! I told him to get a jan meatshield but he refused. He didn't even try to micro his abus guns. He just let them stand there to die when the enemy troops closed in on melee. Another Ex. I was playing with a sergeant on a 2v2 NR 25 game. My teammate had like no vills and a really sucky economy. Plus, by 25 minutes, when we were about to go to imperial, he was still in fortress! His score was half of eveyone else's the whole way. Yet another ex: It was 3v3. One of the enemy was doing very badly after we incesstantly attacked him. The other 2, however, were kinda strong and fought back. Then, an oprichnik raid came and one of our allies lost his TC. I gave him 600 wood an told him to rebuild inside our bases. He was definitely not out since most of his settlers survived. He played for 30 more seconds, then said ah $h1t we're f**ked and resigh even though he was still very in the game, and we probably would've won. final example( I promise): Ok so Im with a german guy in no rules game. he refused to buiild barracks, and only made a stable for uhlans. Since one of the enemy was russian, I didn't tell him not to. But...his eco sucked. He didn't even make vills in age 1!. S he aged up at the same time as me with 1/3 the economy. So he was only able to make like 10 uhlans at a time and they die amazingly fast, even to massed strelets. ok So we go to age 3. He spams war wagons at the strelets, though I tel him that WW's suck vs strelets and that he should make uhlans. He refused, we got overwhelmed by sheer numbers of sterlets and yeah...
These are just to name 4 examples
EDIT: ughhh I didn't even tell you about the guys who send 1 settlers to each resource..
Now I dont take losing very seriously, no it's not a big deal, but losing games you could've won because of your ally over and over again is kinda annoying. Now Im not being a sore loser or anything, there are some games when I screwed up, but those screw-ups are much less obvious and infrequent. There are also times when an enemy player is a noob, buit that is again very infrequent(compared to when my ally is a noob). I'm think about playing a lot more 1v1's and less 2v2's, except with people that I know won't screw up.
So how many times has this happened to you?
