So, because of this I'm going to be encouraged to delete all sub 100 HCs I have?
This will probably just lead to a mass of people only playing their highest HC in an attempt to get all their other HCs up too. It'll probably be the most "OP" civ, so...

To Lord Kivlov:
getting some HCs above 100 was not a waste of time, as you now have those HCs above 100, and now you can try out any other non asian civ with any strat without having to grind to a certain HC level.
It's not as if any one really cares that you have a bunch of high level HCs that you leveled "the hard way." That is, no one cares except for you, and you will still know that you levelled that high with multiple cities when it was still "hard." And if you want some way to separate yourself from all the noobs, your total XP is still displayed.
I am a noob at this game (started playing a month before TAD, you can look it up), and I don't really understand the elitist attitude towards new players. New players bring life to the game, and even if they suck right now, they will get better (some of them will get better than you, even, unless you are one of the truly elite players).
I don't know if you've noticed, but the number of people playing AoE3 online is miniscule in comparison to the total sales of the game. Maybe that should tell you something about the barriers to entry for any one who is new. IMO this is a great move by ES, as anything that expands the game without lessening the game is a good move for everyone.

This change is great. RTS should be about skill, not about how much time you waste. There is already a game for that - World of LameCraft.
