They don't seem to be doing anywhere near the damage their stats indicate.
They supposedly should be firing every 0.5 seconds, but the stat updates on the "victim" unit are less frequent than that, and things are not dying as fast as they should be. No way should an Ashigaru Musket be able to survive for 5 seconds under direct stream fire.
Also, these things seem to be totally missing moving units (the old artillery/rocket problem). This results in nearlyzero damage. If your enemy is moving infantry laterally to your flamethrowers, 90% of their damage disappears into the ether. This sucks, hard.
Anyone else had any luck figuring out an optimal way to use these things? Or did we get another Organ Gun? A really cool looking unit with awesome graphical effects that nonetheless sucks in actual application. Please tell me I'm doing something wrong and this is not the case ...
