Lately ,there have been some talk of balancing ottomans,because they are too weak on no tp maps and very strong on good 4-5 tp maps.i got an idea, i think the main problem with ottomans is that on no tp maps their bonus is their bane.the free settlers are supposed to be a bonus but stalls their eco.many are of the opinion that ottos should be given a starting church wagon and all that and free settler upgrades.i think the main problem is that even with these an ottoman can't boom till age 3.i think a simple way of solving the problem is to allow the ottomans a second tc in age 2 in no tp maps exclusively. and as will probably be done in the patch decrease the settler upgrades cost by 33%.this doesn't look like a great op boost for me since the ottoman will still have to get 600w to build the tc.and it will take up a shipment.but this will change the way ottos play on no tp maps.they will have to turtle instead of rushing,use the tower politician.and yet have hope because they will have a good eco if they can survive until putting up 2 tcs and getting a cheap upgrade.
on the nerf side silk road can be nerfed to 20/25%increase in crates.
1 more thing, ottoman anti cav is really really poor.i mean they don't have a decent infantry unit that counters cav well.every other civ gets good anti cav infantry from at least age 3.now increasing jannisary hand attack would make them op,but they need at least a 2.5 hand multiplier vs cav.their hand attack stays same.this gives them 37 hd vs cav instead of the poor 30.
galleys should probably be nerfed a little.
