A while ago on these forums, a thread was written in which translations were provided for what the units of all 8 original civs say when clicked on, when moving, and when attacking. They also said what settlers say when gathering certain resources and what explorers say when knocked out and revived. I wanted to start a thread in which the same things are done, but for the TWC (Iroquois, Aztec, Sioux) and TAD (Chinese, Japanese, Indian) civs. Anyone who knows the languages of these civs is invited to help! Please post! Thanks!

Excellent job on the Asian civs! Does anyone know the translations for the Aztec, Iroquois, and Sioux?

Half-arsed translations for Native civs in this thread

    and some additional Japanese translations

    Crunkatog on ESO
Bart331 balance suggestion: aztec: remove civ
Voltiguer: Ender, Sioux in 1.04 will be a top civ, no matter how many layers of Sioux goggles you put on
schildpad on Elephants: ...their mansabdar unit sucks so hard it looks like a black hole

Also, Webster's online dictionary has many translations for the Mohawk language. Follow this link to see many Mohawk words, including several used in AoE III! http://www.websters-online-dictionary.org/definition/Mohawk-english/

Some Mohawk words from the game, as found in the dictionary:

    Hen-yes
    Yekahtentyes- go there
    Ikkerons- To accumulate, heap up

This link has translations from Lakota (a language of the Sioux and the one the Sioux use in the game):

    http://www.websters-online-dictionary.org/translation/Lakhota/

Some Lakota words from the game:

    Ohan- yes
    Taku- Something
    Waste (pronounced "washte")- good
Wakina- Thunder (As in Wakina Rifle)
Cetan- Hawk (as in Cetan bow)

I also tried looking up translations for the Aztec. The language of the Aztecs is Nahuatl. The same dictionary has a dictionary in this language, but I could not find any of the words used in the game.Link here: http://www.websters-online-dictionary.org/translation/Náhuatl/
If anyone knows the Aztec translations, please post them.
