Hopefully someone out there can tell me what my problem is...
On both the Spanish and Indian civs I have cards that are theoretically playable in the Industrial age that I never seem to be able to play (i.e. always darkened out!!).
Here's the situation... The Spanish have a card in the Colonial age in which they receive nine (9) Mayan warriors. Likewise with the Indians except that theirs is for seven (7) Chakrams.
In the Industrial age the Spanish can (again theoretically) play a card to receive 30 Mayan warriors; the Indians a card for 23 Chakrams.
After playing the earlier cards, I find that I cannot play the Industrial age cards. While I might theorize that this is because the additional 30 Mayans and 23 Chakrams would except their maximum limit, I find that other civs have no problem in similar situations -- the Aztecs have cards for 9 Zapotecs/Mayans at the Colonial age; 30 more of each in the Industrial -- NO PROBLEM playing all four cards!! Likewise, the Iroquois have cards for 8 Cherokee and 8 Seminoles at the Colonial stage; 25 more Cherokee and 22 more Seminoles in the Industrial. Again, NO PROBLEM playing all four cards (though, in some cases, the additional warriors don't come available until the Imperial age...???).
OK. My question is WHY the Spanish and Indians cannot play their Industrial age cards to get more native warriors while other civs have no problem?
I'd appreciate any insight that you can provide as this has really bothered me for a long time. Right now I've simply dropped the cards from my Spanish/Indian decks since I cannot appear to play them REGARDLESS of the map that I'm playing.
Thanks.
