Rainbow text, dunno. Saw it lately too

The food gold wood icons are possible by pressing enter and then select something you want to say

For colored text just do <color=blue>blah</color> and size is <font=Arial 48>Blah</font>

You can use it just ingame.

Musketeer is right
I don't know about font size code but I've seen it before so it's possible.
Underline text: <u>blah</u>
Maybe there are a few other codes but I know just color and underline.
If I remember right you can use color also with: <color=0,1,0>blah</color> but I'm not sure just test it the numbers stand for R,G,B I think...

I don't know about food/gold/wood or other UI icons. If I find something I'll post it here...

btw:
This is not html and not BBCode. These are just codes from AoE3 to make a text look good :P
If you can program you can write something like this in your own program xD
You don't need to use html or BBCode.

For the colors, I think you can use the hex codes as well.

I've seen it done ages ago, by a guy who also claims he map-hacked somehow and made it so that he can make his TC unselectable and unattackable on great plains map lol.

At the time I tried HTML, it just appeared normally except without the <b>text</b> etc.

BBcode and HTML are different guys. BBcode is what they use on forums where they are too scared to let you use HTML (because you can write scripts with it and make the comp displaying the page perform actions like running java script).

HTML is kinda like what you code wikipedia with (thats how I learn't it lol!)- except without the <nowiki>plain text</nowiki> tags obviously.

None of them need closing tags. And then color works as <color=x,y,z>. Any number other than 0 or 1 for x, y, and z is treated as 1 (some exceptions I think) and x is red, y is green, z is blue. Anything that isn't under this system becomes black.

You never need closing tags but you can close them if you want to write something after the colored (or whatever) text.
x is red, y is green, z is blue

Every browser can just read html. If you write a PHP file it executes itself and sends a html file which was created to the browser.

The admins can write scripts into their forum to let a user use BBCode. If the admins don't want the user to write bold text they don't write the script to convert [b] to <b> .
if you write < into a forum it'll be converted to "& l t ;" (without spaces) which will the browser show as <.
I hope everyone who is interested in that knows how it works now
