I like to play random maps, but I have when I get a water map like amozonia because I always lose.

I look at the score and endgame and I have to most of each resource, bu I just can't use it because the enemy always blows up my dock. How do you get navel supiriority?

It helps to have some outposts or culvs near shore as they kill boats well

Always have a water deck just in case
Dot outposts along the cost ( some civs can use the 2 falconet card to help )
And always always get a dock early also try and play a civ with a good navy. Portugese, Spanish and Dutch have decent navies ( even more so in TAD for British / Ottomans because of offshore support cards )

Row row row your boat
Gently down the stream
Belts off, trowsers down
Ain't life a scream!

There's a reason why they don't let your oranges be imported into Australia. And it's not because they're too good for us... (the opposite dummy!)

WASTE! Keep the card for culvs latter... DO NOT USE MORTARS FOR ANTI-SHIP, THEY MISS MOVING TARGETS OFTEN, culvs hit every time.

StormComing (to me): "Seems like you're way under-ranked"

The Arsenal has an Upgrade for 'Heated Shot' Which allows buildings to have an extra Damage Multiplier against Ships. Culverins are good and so are Falconets. Great Bombards massacre one ship at a time but the rate of fire leaves it vulnerable to multiple ships attacking, same goes for heavy Cannon and to a lesser extent Rockets. Essentially most artillery will do well do but same as above, No Mortars unless your opponent starts using Monitors, because thats when you need the extra range. Not to be condescending, but always be on the look out for ships with the little Brown flag that means they have troops in. Drown them like Rats.

On a slightly different note, Navel is the 'Belly Button'. Naval is Ships and Navies.
