Hello! Do you play AoE III Vanilla, or WC or TAD?
IDK if I can Help, I am no pro , but I'll try.
I like to play No-Rush, so If you want to know how to rush, I cant help you there, but I can tell you some pretty basic advice:
- Try to save villager time. Try not to have them walk a lot. Dont let them be Idle. and heard your hunt to your base (In AoE III if you shoot an animal, the whole group will run in the opposite direction)
- Food Is the most easy to gather resource, followed by Gold, then wood.
- Hunt is the most efficient way to get food (like in previous games of the series), try to hunt all you can before farms.
- Farms are expensive
- No more than 7 villagers on each farm, specialy if you are for a long game.
- Make 2 TC in age III ASAP to have vills more quick
- There is a rock-paper-siccors on age 3 as well.
** Heavy Infantry >
Cavalry
** Cavalry > Cannons, Light Infantry
** Cannons, Light Infantry > Infantry
(There is more, of course, but that's the basic.)
- There is ussualy a road on each map, with designated spots where you can build Trade Posts.
Trade posts get you XP (as well as most actions on the game). Xp gives you level (an Inside-the-game level), each level you can send a card, Cards improve your civ on Uniques ways.
Once the game ends, it give you XP to level up (an Outside-the-game level) to choose new cards.
- Cards with permanent boosts (like +10% to all gather rates) are best for long games
- Cards with short boosts (like 8 troops or crates with 600 food) are best for rush
We embarked on our journey to the stars with a question first framed in the childhood of our species and in each generation asked anew with undiminished wonder: What are the stars? Exploration is in our nature. We began as wanderers, and we are wanderers still. We have lingered long enough on the shores of the cosmic ocean. We are ready at last to set sail for the stars.
