Hindu in the expac? Yeah, only the real fantatical memebers would be offended by having their religion in the game.
Heck, I wouldn't care if they used christian religion. IT would actually be interesting to see and I doubt you would go to hell for playing it. LOL For minor "gods" when you advance to a new age it says something like "You have advanced to the mythic age for God under the guidence of Jesus, Michael, Gabriel, ect. This culture gains favor by creating saints, which act as a mobile favor generator. They have high hit points but are expensive, slow, and can be beat easily by normal units. However saints would have a bonus against myth units, but due to their cost this would not be wise. They would also have a second, cheaper hero unit created at the temple called a prophet. The Christian culture would also gain some favor when villies get killed. The myth unit posibilities for this culture are endless. All different orders of angels, horseman of the appocalpse, ect. Their are plenty of plagues and powers in the bible to have enough God powers. How about flood, armagedon, ect... Armagedon could be a powerful mythic age gp (Michael's GP) that turns 1/3 of your enemies' villies into warrior saints that turn and attack their former master...lol Kind of a odd twist from Ragnorok.
But in the end I agree that ES has more to lose then gain from using a culture that is still in practice. All Hell would break lose if ES used a Christian culture. You would hear conspiracy theories about Satanic coruption on every Christian radio and talk show in the country. Then Pat Robinson would be predicting a "real" god power to strike over Texas or something. Isn't like Florida has faced it's punishment yet...lol
My hobby is playing video games, and my dream is to someday get paid to do it.[This message has been edited by polaris_crd (edited 12-27-2002 @ 03:35 AM).]
