Topic Subject:How to make large randomly generated maps...

Hey, I am not much of a map builder, but the random maps seem nice enough for me to want to play them. The bummer deal is I cannot figure out how to make em bigger than ~600x600 metres. I know the max is 1024x1024, but I cannot get a randomly generated map to be that big. Does anyone know how I can make the map size the biggest without screwing anything up in the map?

Look in your AOE3 directory, in the RM directory and edit the files like this one called texas.xs with notepad. Make sure the readonly attrib is off. The number that shows 30000 was like 10000. I changed to that, and the 3.0*sqrt was 2.0 before I chaged it. Change those and try any size.

int size=3.0*sqrt(cNumberNonGaiaPlayers*playe rTiles);
PS just keep a backup of the file before you mess with it.
