Hi, i need a help. I created a scenario with triggers, but when i Play the scenario, the triggers are not working.

Please answer quickly

Why don't you try explaining what triggers you attempted to do, rather than just saying they didn't work?

OK, I'll try to explain it.
I created several triggers like cinematics triggers, convert triggers and objective triggers.
But when I run the game, nothing happens...
I really don't know what to do whit it....

Dragoster,

Make sure when you use any text display effects such as send chat and Play Dialogue, the quotation mark " " are NOT included in the chat, or else it will cause the chat effect to stop working, which will in turn cause ALL your other triggers to stop working, too.

If you really want to use quotes in your messages such as: "Hello mister"
you can use the apostrophe ' and type it two times: ''Hello mister''

It will look exactly the same as the quotes, but it won't freeze your triggers .

I don't konow what i'am doing wrong, but I deleted all my "Send Chat" effects, and still it isn't working.

Try replacing the "always" events with a "timer: 0" ones. Always ones are unstable IMO.

Replace "lizzie1" and "lizzie2" with "lizziea" and "lizzieb", and so on. It hates numbers.

Dammit! Triggers stop working bug is apparently still on AoE3 too.

One more thing I forgot to mention: All triggers will stop when there is a "bad" effect.

A "bad" effect is an effect that doesn't even work by default. For example, the effect Unit create Multi is an effect that does not work at all, so if you use it in your trigger, it will freeze everything up.

In my work on the AoM editor, (which the aoe3 one is nearly the same as.) I never encountered that problem - however, you can't place a number at the START of a trigger name, for example:

"1crossbowman" is a BAD name!

"crossbowman1" is a GOOD name!

Simple
Other than that - it doesn't mind numbers, I used them in nearly ever trigger name.

The "triggers stop working bug" in AoM was not a bug, but a logical error. 8P The best way to trace the problem is to delete all triggers one by one and test it after each one.

A condition is not a trigger.
An effect is not a trigger.
A trigger is a combination of one or more conditions and effects.
It causes effects to happen if and when conditions are met.
Period.
