Taking suggestions for only and only cinematics/movies review cateogories and guidelines.

Let the suggestions flow.

Can you do the Double Yoda?
A sexual move, where you do a double backflip, insert your penis into the orifice of choice, and scream, "Afraid are you?"

Cool .

My suggestion would be to almost keep the scn review guidelines except for a little change:

Playability + Balance => Watchability (whether it's overall boring or not, whether the triggerwork is ok, i.e. whether there're bugs or not etc. An overall impression with scn-technical aspects (bugs and lag would be marked down here).)

The rest would be Creativity, Eyecandy, Story, like in scn design.
This way we'd only have 4 categories, but I think that's enough .

Cinematics need review categories that involve the Quality of direction, the Originality/Creativity, the feeling of immersion, the story, the sound, the map design, etc.
Somehow squash all that into a few.

story, map design, creativity should all be in.
then camera work, self explanatory
and a holistic 'immersion' that kind of factors everything in and basically asks if its, on the whole, a good movie.
I think about it some more too, this was just a quick 2-second idea

Bah.

Thanks for posting this Kumar. I've been so busy trying to solve the problems of the camera and unit modding in this new title that I feel overwhelmed. I think this is an important issue that needs to be resolved, but that said, it will be a while before projects start to get released. I think we can build a scoring system if we look at some of the suggestions that were made in the post at AOMH. People put forth a lot of suggestions there. I'll think about it too, but again, for now I'm so busy with the new editor, and trying to organize a coop project at Tsunami, that my head is spinning. Grun, help me with my mods, and we'll give Kumar a hard time later about this cine catagory.

If anyone adds a review with the words that the cinimatics was 'ok' the eyecandy was 'average' and then give it a five I'm going to blow up. Seen it so many times on reviews. Just lazy writing. I just don't get how 'ok' means 'great 5 stars' At least have the forthought to look through a theosarus (and I'll look through a dictionary to find the correct spelling of theosarus)

Yeah, it's me.

Doesn't have to be a separate catagory, could be in with the scenarios or campaigns. It just should be rated differently.

1. Story
2. Sets - locations and dressing (eye candy)
3. Photography/Editing - composition of shots, smoothness of editing
4. Dialoge - if any, includes title spelling
5. Originality - did the author do something original, never before seen?

@Gaurdian, it was time for a change. Plus my ESO nick is the same now so ppl can find me for games.

@Ben, put the guitar down and go to the store and get the game.

If I get time I'll go through the old thread on AOMH and pull some of the suggestions off and post them. No promises, but there were some good ones there too. HF
