Okay so let's see...so far we have many complaint threads, but not so many optomistic threads. We can't do much about ES, and what can be done has been done. So, I figure, why not make a 'happy thread' I'll start:

I like the IGC units-- good for cinematics considering modify protounit attack doesn't work, and a good work-around in general. **I'm not sure if all of them are peacful, but the bulk of them that I have used are**

Well that's one "on the bright side" comment....

I like the fact that you can place water normally as well as with current

Doesn't outweigh the cons though.

You just ruined a perfectly positive thread, slickman!

As for a nice positive comment, I like the havockeyness. And I like the scale of the ships.

Is that the only one you can think off? Don't you find that a bit contradicting?

Well the "abstract" agruement for the damage units in area is helpful. For example you can stipulate "all" or "abstract military" and all those units are affected. In the old days you use to have to check all the military units available to a particular civy, then name each and everyone one to damage. Use to be a pain in the arse. Now one trigger effect does it all. Still there are tons of great triggers missing in this title so there's five bad things for every one good thing. A positive thread is nice, but if we accept the new editor without complaint, ES will keep giving us an inferior product. Is that what you want?

-You can create 5 units at a time.
-"Melee" mode is really cool.
-Ragdoll physics
-Multiple healing units
-Field Hospitals

We're talking about the EDITOR.

lol.

It sucks, there's no bright side, considering how good AoM's was.

1 tiny plus: You finally have some hot chicks in the editor, which I missed in AoM. Off course there was Reginleif, but you couldnt use her for the role of sweet farm girl .

And there is no Greta Forkbeard *cough*Gaurdian*cough*

I love the cinematic ship, how you place it within water thats under the illusion that is moving.. very creative. Though I do wish it wasn't like a 'empty shell'.. requring us to have land under it.

My 2 ct.:
The only 'bright side' when working with current eddi is a huge bottle of beer (or stronger *g*) beneath.
In comparison to AoM Ed. this one seems to be hasty hacked from AoM code to make it halfways working - at least for ES dev purposes. I can imagine the campaign authors @ES cursing the coders when they had to do hacky stuff for workarounds *g*.
Let's hope, improving Ed. becomes actual when ES has made the main prog. working - and for a sequel a real working Ed. was quite useful

I love the ships. THey are big, gigantic and monstrous. Love the Bang-Bang-Bang sound they make.

In the AoEIII editor, the best thing must be the river-tool. And the RT helpps you to make really beautifully maps!

Remember groupings? Those are totally ownage, if you ask me. You can make a forest and like place it again and again, rotate it, etc. etc...It's flexible too, like with the one-click-army-select thing.
