So, I've had in mind this campaign idea for some time, but I've only recently began seriously planning how to implement it, and I've started on a second draft of the scenario. The scenario is from the viewpoint of the Czars of the rising state of Muscovy from Ivan III and his throwing off the yoke of tributary and vassal status to the Mongol remnant, the Golden Horde, by defeating Akhmat Khan at the Battle of the River Ugra in 1480 (a victory attributed to Ivan's force having firearms and Akhmat's lacking them) all the way up to Peter I (the Great)'s declaration of the Grand Duchy and Czardom of Russia to the Russian Empire after decisively defeating Karl XII, King of Sweden, in 1701, and transforming Russia's recognized status from a 'backwater, semi-civilized hinterland" to the northeast of most European monarchs' serious concern to one of the Great Powers of Europe. I will have more shortly, though any comments, suggestions, or even constructive criticism or warnings are welcome.
