i play at Ensemble games since the first AOE (rise of rome), AOK and the conquerors)
i like always the conquerors, bexause this game is hard. the AI civs create walls around their town. but since AOM, this feature is removed.
is it possible to add this feature in AOE3? because it's a little bit ridiculous. the new civs arrived in the new world, but they don't protect their cities!!!!
(sorry for my english)

i'd always wondered if it was just if i played on easier settings, but yeah, it's weird that they haven't incorporated it into the ai system... it's not like they don't have the code for it... even the AOE2 system managed... with just a few minor errors, when it came to aesthetics =]
do we have any AI scripters around?
i'll compare a few scripts from AOE3 and AOM and see if i can come up with anything.

this feature of AO2 was really excellent; it's really sad, that ES didn't try to add that, in AO3. Take a city would have been really funny.
And in AO3 as like in AOM, the units want just to kill the civilians; even if they are attacked, they prefer to attack a civilian. this is really boring.
i didn't like AOM for that, and the civs were not equilibrated. luckily AO3 is better. this game with the walls would have been perfect.

to be fair on ES, there are wall plans in some of the AI files. Open an .xs file with notepad and search for 'wall'. It just seems that they're not ever used...?
