Any suggestions or installation instructions for mods specifically the now dead age of crusades mod, on an intel macbook pro with legal vanilla AOE3, fully updated.
Ive attempted to copy instructions given for windows, but the file structure is obviously different. I've gotten about as far as backing up the original games files, copying the mod into the original game folders, and placing fonts, however this does nothing to even affect the original games performance. I read a while ago someone had succeeded in getting this particular mod to work on a mac but I couldn't find any instructions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have succeeded in modding a mac version of homeworld 2 with a windows based mod before.
Thanks!

To get at the AoE3 data files, go into your Applications folder, right click on "Age of Empires III" and select "Show Package Contents.
Then navigate to "Contents/Resources/GameData". That's where you put the data files, and it has the same file structure as "Program Files/Microsoft Games/Age of Empires III" on Windows.
The only file difference I've found so far is the strings file. I think it has something to do with where AoE3 stores save game files. It also adds some additional strings for the GameRanger multiplayer.
The files are:
"data/stringtable.xml" for stock
"data/stringtablex.xml" for TWC
"data/stringtabley.xml" for TAD
You can modify this file to go along with your mod, but be careful. And as always *back it up* before messing around with it.
