Hello everyone and Peugeot in particular,
The previous topic concerning resources was closed so, in order to lance my question, I needed to open this new one.
My question:
In the story I'm fiddling around with everything is initially based on a serious lack of wood so I did not want any crate of wood sent by the HC.
What I did:
I openedcivs.xml (in Notepad - carefully...) as described in the link of that topic I referred to, deleted all "townstartingunit>CrateofFood</townstartingunit" ,
converted (+.xmb) the file, saved it and put it simply into the AoE3/Data map, because I was not able to return it into the Data.bar where it originally came from.
Finished cargo...no wood any more. Happy me !
I wonder now why civs.xml.xmb in Data.bar does not conflict with the one I altered and put outside Data.bar in the same directory.
Thanks for your advice anyhow, I'm going back to the Indians and help my people in their struggle for.. uh...wood.
Greetings, Gerard
I'll never grow that old as I look
