I have been using the Asian civs lately and the thing that puzzles me the most is the Councilate building. The upgrades make it hard to decide which civilization to go to first.
Here are the Councilates for the Asian civilizations, I'm not totally sure 100%.:
British: (10% hp) give Musks, Hussars, falconets, spies, surgeons, and petards
Russia: (-10%settlertraintime) give Cossack, Kalmuck, Culvereins, Factory, Fort
French: (5%gatheringbonus) give OldGuards, Cuiraissers, Horse Cannon, 300 of each resource.
German: (lowerscostofbannerarmy) gives Doppelsoldner, Needlegunner, Uhlans, Heavy Cannon, Trickles of each resource by 1.50
Ottoman: (IncreaseLOS) gives Jannisary, Gardeners, Minutemen, 4settlers, bombards
Portuguese: (LessBuildingcost) Besteiros, Dragoons, Culvereins, Ships
Japan: (10%attack) gives hatamotos, yamabushis, ninja archers, 10 unit army training, samurai castle spawn, military barrack
Spanish: (Tricklesofexp) Tercios, Lancers, Rodeleros, Falconets, Bonus Trade Route, Merchantism, Exp speed bonus
Dutch: (Trickleofgold) gives stadhouders, ruyters, mortars, 1 bank, church, arsenal
China:
Britain, Russia, French, German
India:
Ottoman, British, Portuguese, French
Japan:
Japan Isolation, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch
There is also a thing in which settlers gather Export Faster. (Starting Rate: .03exp/sec) (-5%: .04exp/sec) (-10%: .05exp/sec) Is it even worth sacrificing resources if you just get a really small amount more? Supposing you get to Imperial with the Chinese and have 119 villagers by the 18 min mark, you will have about 6500 export by the 40 min mark. You get about 9000 export with the 10% sacrifice.
Is it even worth do so however in treaty? The only thing that would be used for export is to either trade it or use it for units which are below and some above average.
Basically what I am asking is how or when do you know to switch to a different nation? Is it worth using the 10% or 5% trade for export? Is it not only for economy but for military strategy as well, like vs Cuirs?
Sorry if this was an eyesore to read.
