  • Follow the Code of Conduct!
  • Use the "control+f"-hotkey to explore the page.
  • Your civilization/game design has to be in Age of Mythology's time frame (although this rule does not have to be taken strictly)
  • Only serious civilization/game designs desings, please!
  • You have to provide a link to a thread/site/download on your civilization/game design. This thread is only meant for compilations.
  • People can vote, in order to see what the most popular civilization/game design is.
  • You can only vote once, and your vote is irreversible.
  • No voting for ones own civilization/game design!
  • You can 'claim' a certain civilization/game design, when you haven't finished it yet, so other people know you are working on it. This in order to prevent 35 threads on the Inuit civilization popping up at the same moment.

  • Unique buildings: water farms, great temples as wonders.
  • Unique units: “you-know-what-animals”-warriors.
  • Strengths: great infantry, cheap and fast trained units, cool Godpowers, very unique attributes.
  • Disadvantages: very unbalanced economy/military-techs (a God that focuses on economy, has no non-economic bonuses), units have low armour.

    Number 2

The Valar (based upon Lord of the rings)

  • Forumer: Yooda
  • Unique buildings: two kinds of walls.
  • Unique units: trebuchets, the myth units belonging to the civilization, a Balrog as Titan unit.

    AKS

  • Forumer: Mash_Kig_Sima
  • Unique buildings: tree house, Mage academy, and Kig farm.
  • Unique units: airship, guild, and more.

  • Unique units: human units: warrior, Madaris, Carpentom, woad raider, Scramasax, knight, etcetera; Mythological units: pixie, Firbolg, water giant, witch, dragon, death raven, Wicker man, etcetera.
  • Strengths: best heroic units in the game (druids and knights); Special Mythological units tear human units to shreds; powerful defense due to Ring forts; reusable Godpowers.

    Hindus

  • Forumer: Thot_Celay

  • Unique units: elephants (they need some differentiation with the Egyptian ones though, maybe by giving them ranged and melee attack -like the siege tower-, or something else)
  • Strengths: boomers and good defence.
  • Disadvantages: very complex and hard to play civilization; this civilization will never be in a game: the religion is still alive and would offend many people.

    Inca

  • Forumer: GoForGoldenJarls
  • Unique buildings: stone buildings have a lot of hitpoints, and most of them only cost gold, but some cost wood.
  • Unique units: no cavalry, but they have a couple faster infantry, however, they are lightly armored; Chanca have a bonus versus buildings; macemen can knock down enemy units.

maybe divide the greeks into the seperate polis' such as megara, sparta, athens, corinth, thebes, argos etc. i think this would create great diversity between the greek civilization as it is and other civilizations. for example spartans could have helots which could be an advanced villager available in later ages. spartans could have a stronger army, corinth could get economic bonuses.

    Short Form:

    Forumer Name: Mythos_Ruler
    Civilization Name: Romans
Unique Buildings: Aqueducts, Theater, Amphitheater, Circus, Villa, Apartment Block, Market Stall, Army Camp
Unique Units: Emperor, Praetorian, Hastatus, Principe, Triarus, Equite, Gaulic Mercenary, Quinquiereme, Slave
Strengths of your civilization: Infantry. Siege. Heroes. All buildings support a degree of population. Buildings are 50% stronger on average than Egyptians. Powerful economic God Powers. Military Units receive an attack bonus when fighting within a radius with other units of different types. Average Myth Units.
Disadvantages of your civilization: Each unit only counters a specific type of enemy unit. Only Super Units are good all around. Cavalry. Archers. Offensive God Powers. Slowest working Citizens in the game. Average Myth Units. Buildings Cost Food too.

    Long Form:

    Forumer name: Mythos_Ruler
    Civilization name: Romans
    Unique buildings:
Aqueducts - Created by the player in the same way a wall is created. Must run from a source of water, to the player's TC, or from TC to TC. This brings a constant flow of "water" that translates to a constant flow of food. Restricts passage of siege units.
Theater - Grants favor. Functions much like an Egyptian Monument to Villagers. Think "Theater of Marcellus."
Amphitheater - Grants favor. Functions much like an Egyptian Monument to Pharoahs. Think "Colosseum."
Circus - Grants Favor. Functions much like an Egyptian Monument to the Gods. Think "The Circus Maximus."
Villa - Much like an expensive "granary" but larger, and comes with farms pre-planted.
Apartment Block - A large population supporting structure. The Roman version of houses/manors.
Market Stall - Provides a very small trickle of gold when built within a TC's LOS. Max 10 may be built.
Army Camp - Replaces both the Barracks and Fortress class buildings. Very High HPs, but no attack. Can be "packed up" and slowly moved (with an ox cart type animation).
Unique units (the Norse huskarl for example): All units are unique to the Romans (like all other civs).
Emperor - An Empowering Unit that respawns when killed. Automatically empowers all activity (Econ and Military) within his radius by a small percentage. Summons multiple Praetorian units when attacked.
Praetorian - Weak Anti-infantry units summoned by Emperor.
Hastatus - A Legionnaire Swordsman. Anti-Infantry. Receives attack bonus when fighting within a mixed group of other Legionnaires.
Principe - A Legionnaire Javelinist. Anti-Archer. Receives attack bonus when fighting within a mixed group of other Legionnaires.
Triarus - A Legionnaire Spearman. Anti-Cavalry. Receives attack bonus when fighting within a mixed group of other Legionnaires.
    Equite - Elite Cavalry. Anti-Archer.
Gaulic Mercenary - Cavalry. Costs only gold. Anti-Cavalry.
Quinquiereme - A ship with the ability to "board" (convert) other ships. Costs Favor for each "boarding." Otherwise, functions in place of a "siege ship."
Slave - Costs a small amount of gold, but 0 population. They die after a period of time, but work very quickly. These are econ-equivilant to the Egyptian mercenary.
Strengths of your civilization: The best armored infantry in the game. All buildings support a degree of population. Buildings are 50% stronger on average than Egyptians. Powerful economic God Powers. Military Units receive an attack bonus when fighting within a radius with other units of different types. Very strong heroes, similar to Greeks. Average Myth Units. Good siege.
Disadvantages of your civilization: Each unit only counters a specific type of enemy unit. Only the Major-God specific Super Units have all-around fighting capability. Poor Cavalry. Mediocre Archers. Offensive God Powers are relatively weak. Slowest working Citizens in the game. Average Myth Units. Buildings Cost Food, as well as the standard Wood and Gold.

I had a good idea on a civ but not a particular one anyway

Buildings slowly move away you dont control them units somtime get bored and go do something else. To get favor you should build ahuge tower so your gods could find you onse you build the tower your favor goes up but then after a while your favor starts dropping because the gods cant find you. No omniciance.
