I want to know what sound engine you are using, and the quality of the sound effects. Are you guys using a sound library? (16-bit, yuck!), or recording your own?
How much better is the quality than AoE2? Are you featuring doppler effect, environment morphing and echoes?
I can only hope that you are going out, finding some cannons, putting microphones all around them in a sound room and recording it at 24 bit, 44khz (or better, 192? =D)
How about cannons, will they all use one sound effect or have several sound files for each type of cannon, with sound shaders to make each shot sound a little different? It would be cool to be able to identify cannons by their sounds,
