It's an important thing for me since I am going to buy a new graphic card. Is AOE3 optimized for the current Nvida generation(6xxx) or will it be optimized for the next generation (GeForce 7??)?(since I read a post in the aoe3question forum, which was made by an es employee, that said that developers use the unreleased generation of graphic cards to develop their game.)
Anyone got a clue? Since if the game is made using a GeForce 7 or something, it's pointless to spend money on the GeForce 6800 GT I wanted to buy.
Any thoughts?

If that's right, well, I don't need another graphic card since my GeForce 440 MX can run AOM fast on 1280x1024, but are you sure? Can anyone confirm?

Read Ceres629's post, he knows what he is talking about.

True. Don't upgrade unless you need to. The next ATI/Nvidia cards are on the horizon, and prices for AGP cards are slowly dropping since more and more people are using PCI-Express.

My dad definetly says "no" to a PCI-express motherboard because he says I also have to change the processor. I will stick to the old AGP solution. So, I'll wait for the GeForce 7800.

I doubt the Geforce 7 will be released for AGP. At least not the high end versions.

Well, if it's not, I'll do everything I can to convince my dad PCI-express is worth the investment. Thanks to everyone who has answered.

I haven't metioned, but since I live in Romania, I highly doubt newegg offers it's services here. VATs here are 19% and frankly, online stores have no interest in shipping the product to a stupid eastern-european country... Not to mention, that salaries here aren't the brightest...

Problem 1. Intel. That's already a problem in itself.
Problem 2. Pairing a 3.0GHz processor with 2GB RAM - waste of RAM
Problem 3. Outdated graphics card

Ok, I've almost decided what to get: a new PCIe motherboard (maybe with SLI) and a GeForce 6600GT (for now...). Why is ever1 picking on my poor little Intel and my poor little cute nVIDIA?? WHY? I prefer Intel to AMD and nVIDIA to ATi (but nVIDIA--make those damn nFORCE chipsets fot Intel too... and FASTER) Thanks to every1 for their supoort. And AnC_Ivo17, mabe you have msn...
