It doesn't say Rise of Nations to me at all. They are totally different, really.

Developers 'borrow' ideas from other games, but to parallel EE2 to aoe3 is blasphemy. EE2 has to be one of the worst sequals i have ever played. EE covers the entire human history[and future] and it may have similiar civilizations[hey, these civs were important throughout history], but in no way will EE2 compare to aoe3... especially not in MP support or the amount of 'experts' or old school gamers that will be playing it.

AoE3 is a lot more like AoM to me, with XP acting as a fourth resource kinda like Favor and politicians sorta like minor gods
