correction: AoD (AoEIII) is already in the modern age (1500 to present) and since Russian astronauts and cosmonauts launched their rocket up into space with a man in it, we have been living in the space age.
If you'll notice, Age games all fit. AoE is the beginning of civilizations (tower of Babel: whoknowswhen BC) RoR ends the fall of Rome, AoC starts at the fall of Rome and ends with Montezuma and Cortez. AoD starts with Montezuma and Cortez (presumably) and ends just before the American Civil War. AoE4 (Age of War? Age of Invention?) probably starts with the civil war, if not an expansion pack doing so, and ends with what, maybe the Iraqi war of today or something. AoE5? (Age of Mars (already an AoM, so how?/Age of Space?/Age of ?) Don't bring up the subject of "new planets," yet, light speed technology is still in the process, and even mars is too distant for travels, but this is all in the making. Maybe it will start with the finishes of the Iraqi war and end with the whoknowswhat war of 2200-2500? AoE6??? Beyong even thought! By the time AoE6 will be even speculated, we'll be in the time zone of AoE5.
But if the book you display right know shows AoE4 and 5, and the logo's of ES and MSGS is there, then we can expect them!
BTW I agree that ES will never make anything crappy (except for SW:GW, than was disgracing both themselves and George Lucas)
