Billman's Korea Minor-Major civ:
The Koreans will have lrge forts, such as this:
They will have trading posts near them, and once you build on it, they become your ally.
As a neutral building intially, it can not attack anything, but as soon as it is claimed, it will act as a defensive bastion for the nation owns it. Like in history, Korean forts were of not a fantastic quality, so ingame they are more like a fully-upgraded Russian blockhouse, rather than a proper fort. This is where you can train the Korean units from. Also, this adds a little twist onto the gameplay - certain maps with Korea on will be slightly different, as capturing this forts adds a bit more strategic depth.
Units that can be trained at the Korean Fort -
Hwacha - Anti-infantry arty. launches a volley of fire arrows.
Kobukson (Turtleship) - once allied, you can build only 2 or 3 of these at your docks(in reality, few were made in comparassion to other warships). Large amount of HP, and short ranged, these ships excel in absorbing the damge intended for the rest of your fleet. Has the Broadside, and the 'Dragon's Head' ability.
Joseon Spearmen - A fast moving heavy infantry unit, armed a Dangpa-chang - a spear with trident-like prongs, these have a bonus against cav and buildings. Speedy and cheap, countered by low HP.
Research techs.
Righteous army - sends a large force of Joseon Spearmen
Dragon's head smoke - Allows your Kobukson to go stealthy - wooo, first stealth ships! The history to back it up - They used to release toxic smoke from the Dragon's head at the front of the vessel to fog up the area and obscure vision.
Rain Gauge - Give villagers a better gather rate for at plantations and farms. Koreans invented the world's first proper rain guage, which helped farmers greatly in planning farming seasons.
As I said, there should only be a number of these more powerful 'natives'.
mike_rules32: Mongols Minor-Major civ.
~~Mongols~~
The Mongol base is a palisade wall with 3 Mangudai, and one Mongol heavy cavalry inside, protected by 3 towers. Once you ally with them by building a trading post inside the palisade. You get these cavalry, and as long as you control the mongol fort, These two types of riders spawn slowly over time(regardless of the unit limit). You can also buy these units at your trading post.
~Units~
Mangudai:Powerful Mongol cavalry archer. Bonus against melee units. Can be upgraded to Elite and Legendary.
Mongol Heavy Cavalry: Powerful cavalry wih many hitpoints, the second heviest cavalry in the game. It is armed with a large blade and a strong armor.Able to upgrade to Elite and legendary.
~Techs~
Pillage: You get a small amount of coin for each enemy building razed.
Drill: Siege units move 15% faster.
SpongeofHonor: Korean Turtle ships;
Turtle Ship, fast, armoured ship with a "trample" mode, allowing it to run into enemy ships and cause them damage. Otherwise, the ship fires its cannons. (A strict build limit should apply).
